Project Description
As part of the existing pellet production plant, a new log debarking and chipping line has been constructed, replacing the previous mobile shredder that operated on fossil fuels. By installing the new electrically powered line, the project aims to achieve energy savings, reduce CO2 emissions, and enhance efficiency and flexibility in pellet production.
The new line has been built outside the existing facility, with components that generate high noise levels enclosed within a soundproof barrier. The main equipment of the line includes:
- Stationary Hydraulic Arm (“Grapple”)
- Maximum reach: Lmax = 9.7 m
- Operating pressure: p = 280 bar
- Maximum lifting capacity: m = 2520 kg
- Log Splitter
- Floor dimensions: 2500 mm x 1000 mm
- Debarker
- Dimensions (L x W x H): 2100 mm x 5300 mm x 3700 mm
- Maximum log diameter for debarking: dmax = 700 mm
- Shredder
- Dimensions (L x W x H): 2500 mm x 6300 mm x 2500 mm
- Chipping capacity: 200 m³/h
- Log and Wood Chip Conveyors
Enerkon obtained the necessary special conditions and prepared the project documentation, which served as the basis for obtaining the building permit.
