Green office principles

ENERKON d.o.o. leadership is aware that climate change is one of the biggest challenges we face today. As a result of our daily office work, we influence global warming, air pollution, drinking water quality and the amount of generated waste. We are aware that it is necessary to gradually change current living and consumption habits, in order to improve the way of life, and ensure that the global ecological footprint of humanity is kept within the limits of the Earth's capacity to sustain future generations.
Taking into account all the above, ENERKON decided to work in accordance with the Green office principles. By making small changes in the way we deal with resources in everyday life, we can not only save money but also have a positive impact on reducing waste and creating a better and healthier workplace.

In order to achieve all of the above, we are determined to:

• Treat waste according to the principle of sustainable development
• As part of paper-saving initiatives, we use double-sided printing options and
  recycled paper when applicable
• When purchasing, we order paper that is produced without the use of TCF
• Use the principles of digital business: archive documentation, send e-mails
• Ensure the use of video conferencing thus reducing the need for travel
• Use and adjust the heating and cooling devices to the recommended summer
  and winter temperatures
• Introduce shutting down computers during longer periods of inactivity
• Instead of PET packaging, consume water using glass cups
• Encourage our employees to use bicycles, walk, use public transport or
  commute to work and/or business trips
• Use natural light, energy-saving light bulbs and turn off the lights when we
  don’t need them or when we leave the office
• Increase our employees's awareness of the importance of green office
  principles
• Remind employees of the Green office principles by using informative stickers
  throughout the office spaces that emphasize the importance of effective
  behavior at all times
• Inform our business partners about our commitment through everyday e-mail
  communication by using our Green office sign in the e-mail signature.
