Project title: Power plant on municipal waste
Investor: Energetika Celje d.o.o.
Location: Celje, Slovenia

Project description

Reasons for investing:

• Disposal of the combustible part of municipal waste after processing collected waste; energy recovery of waste
• Minimizing the residue after municipal waste treatment
• Production of 2 MW of electricity for own needs and for the grid, production of 13 MW of thermal energy for city’s heating system

Results of equipment dimensioning:

• Steam boiler 20 t/h, 30 bar, 350 °C
• Choosing a 2 MW backpressure steam turbine

Project title: Construction of a central wastewater treatment plant in the city of Koprivnica 100 000 ES
Investor: GPK Komunalac
Location: Koprivnica, Croatia
Construction completion: 2006

Project description

The wastewater treatment plant consists of the following systems:

• the existing rough grid
• mechanical pre-treatment of wastewater (Phase I)
• wastewater pumping station
• biological phase of purification (phase II)
• accumulation of sludge
• drying of sludge (phase III)
• technology for precipitated sludge treatment in the MID-MIX plant

In this project, for the new wastewater treatment plant in the city of Koprivnica, a purification process with activated sludge is planned as a technical solution, the so-called Sequenced Batch Reactor Technology (SBR).
