<li>Primary chamber made with an oblique grid</li>
<li>Automatic dosage of waste from the daily tank</li>
<li>Separate entrance for medical waste</li>
</ul>

<p>Reasons for investing:</p>
<ul>
<li>Disposal of the combustible part of municipal waste after processing collected waste; energy recovery of waste</li>
<li>Minimizing the residue after municipal waste treatment</li>
<li>Production of 2 MW of electricity for own needs and for the grid, production of 13 MW of thermal energy for city’s heating system</li>
</ul>
<p>Results of equipment dimensioning:</p>
<ul>
<li>Steam boiler 20 t/h, 30 bar, 350 °C</li>
<li>Choosing a 2 MW backpressure steam turbine</li>
</ul>

<h4>Project description</h4>
<p>The wastewater treatment plant consists of the following systems:</p>
<ul>
<li>the existing rough grid</li>
<li>mechanical pre-treatment of wastewater (Phase I)</li>
<li>wastewater pumping station</li>
<li>biological phase of purification (phase II)</li>
<li>accumulation of sludge</li>
<li>drying of sludge (phase III)</li>
<li>technology for precipitated sludge treatment in the MID-MIX plant</li>
</ul>
<p>In this project, for the new wastewater treatment plant in the city of Koprivnica, a purification process with activated sludge is planned as a technical solution, the so-called Sequenced Batch Reactor Technology (SBR).</p>
