Enerkon is part of LIFE LOCAL GoGREEN project

The LIFE LOCAL GoGREEN project aims to accelerate the transition to clean energy in small municipalities across 5 EU countries by implementing integrated climate and energy plans. We aim to minimize the impact of climate change, expedite the shift to green energy sources, and ensure accessible energy for the population.

The main goal of the LOCAL GoGREEN project is to create a support system for small European municipalities in need of assistance with their energy transition. We plan to build capacities for local authorities in pilot municipalities, focusing on transition management, carbon budgets, decentralization of energy production, and green procurement.

To achieve these objectives, we plan to establish Regional Advisory Councils (RAC) that will bring together experts with information, expertise, and capacities to support local needs. Stakeholder involvement is planned through capacity building for key players and producer-consumer associations, including working groups and public consultations.

Partners from different countries will establish a transnational network of municipalities to help local communities benefit from long-term support and increased funding through national and European energy transition programs, as well as participate in innovative projects that make them self-sufficient in implementing the transition.
